What is HackArCode?

HackArCode is where retro meets innovation, a 24-hour in person hackathon that combines the nostalgia of classic arcade games with modern tech wizardry. Connect with amazing people, enjoy gaming sessions to take a break from coding.

Can hackers start working on projects in advance?

No. You can only start working on the projects once hacking begins on 7 Sep after the opening ceremony. Any project with earlier commit history will be disqualified.

What are the arrangements for hackers?

On 7th Sep, we will have a supervised sleeping space for hackers to rest and sleep at the venue. We have arranged a separate sleeping area for girls, clean washrooms, personal hygiene and sanitary kits, etc. We want to make sure that all hackers feel comfortable and safe at the hackathon.
There will be meals served on the respective days to everyone who checks-in.
🌟Lunch, Snacks, Dinner & Mid-night Snacks on 7 Sep
🌟Breakfast & Lunch on 8 Sep

A member/few members of my team canceled at the last minute. Can I still hack?

Kindly open the #organizer-ticket on our Discord Server and let the organizers know as soon as possible, so that we can try to make necessary next steps.

Is it mandatory to stay at the venue during the hackathon? How long am I allowed to leave the permises?

Yes, once you are checked-in for the hackathon, it is mandatory to stay at the venue. You can only leave after the hackathon ends, i.e. on Sep 8 after the closing ceremony.

Will you support or reimburse our travel expenses?

Since HackArCode 2024 is a community-driven hackathon, unfortunately we will not be able to support you with travel.

My parent/guardian will be coming along with me. Can they stay at the venue?

The answer is No. Arrangements like sleeping area, food, etc., are only for the attendees. We recommend you to find a stay option for them near the venue. They can drop you at the hackathon venue on 7th Sep and can pick you on 8th Sep but can't stay at venue during the hackathon as we do not have any provision for them.
